All praise are belong to Allah who has put the learning on high rank. Who eased the way to heaven to those who seek knowledge firmly and ordered the angel to spread peace. May the blessing and peace of Allah be upon to the messenger of Allah, Muhammad, His companion, His follower, His following follower until the day of the judgment.
First of all, allow me to comment this occasion by saying it’s a great honor for me to have an opportunity before the intellectuals of the audience. And I would like to thanks the organizing committee for such moment given so that I’m able to deliver my speech. And the title of my speech today is:
THE IMPORTANT OF RELIGION EDUCATION FOR THE YOUNG GENERATIONS
At bottom, talking about the young generations and their religion education surely we will discuss something important and also something interest in our life. It’s because young generations are one of the important part for everybody, for the family, religion and also for the future of the country. Young generations are the backbone of the country, when they are good the country will be good. But when they are bad the are bad, the country will be bad too.
In other hand, the young generations have a big responsibility for the country. They have to continue the struggle of old generation before. But the problem that we face now today is how the way to make a great generations who have big responsibility, dedication and the balance between spiritual and physical need. How to make it? Let’s check it out the way.
The rational answer of the question above is education, especially religion education. Do you know why? It’s because religion education concern the feeling, responsibility, honesty, the Godliness and the leadership. So we can get the summing up that religion education is very important for everybody including the young generations.

As a Moslem, I think we have to apprehensive with the phenomena of the young generations in our country, Indonesia. Almost of them life without the aims, without the purpose. They just spend their daily time for extravagance. Their activities no more than except for unusual or unbeneficial activities than positive activities. For the example: dating, hang out on the school time, drugs, drunk and also free sex. Almost of them are the student of university. You know, it’s great grade for every student. Then the student of senior high school, maybe junior high school and even the student of elementary school.
It’s so bad, so crazy for us, for our country Indonesia which more than 80% of the population are Moslem. Can you imagine how the condition our country ten years later. It’s so possible if there is no different between Indonesia and western country.

Truly, There’re some aspect which influence the morality and the religion education for the young generation and some of the point are family, school and the environment
a. Family
When we talking about family we can’t out of the fact that inside of the family will be there the parents and their children. The parents have the rule as the educator for their children, they show the right way for the children’s life.
The parents must pay attention to their children, not only in physical aspect but in every aspect including religion education. But again and again, The phenomena which happen now is so many parent give the freedom to their children no limits. They never said dating is sinful my son, pray is important my daughter and so on. It’s give a proof to all of us that there’s no religion education which is teaches by the parents to their children. The religion education is non sense for them, the function of the religion for them just for the identity card no more. The never do the application of the Islamic law in the holy qur;an and sunah.
So of course it’s a reasonable thing when we look Moslem never pray , life with bad attitude even can’t read the Holy Qur’an in old time. By the way, we have to remember that family is the first home for everybody to study everything. The child study to walk from the mother, study to talk with the father and so on. So the child will be good or bad it’s on the family hand.
Our prophet Muhammad ever said:
مروا اولادكم بالصلاة وهم ابناء سبع سنين واضربهم عليها وهم ابناءعشر وفرقوا بينهم فى المضاجع

We go to the next point.
2. School
School is the second place for everybody to study everything too. Not only that the function of the school is also for the socialization place. They
get new friends with different culture and new experience from the teacher to their life in the place by name “school”.
We can also call the school as an education system. But unfortunately, the think way of Indonesian people is so bad. How can? They think that school is a kind of the factory, a factory which makes something or good.
Their orientation just “WORK” not science or knowledge. So they just need the way to get more capability for their work. For example: when they school in technical high school they will be machinist only. When they school in economic school the will be economist no more, etc.
It gives a view for all of us that, as if as there are some question in their mind before they enter to the school; “If I school here, what I will be? If my son or my daughter school there, what they will be too? Can they get the works after they graduate of the school?” it’s big and important question for them. They never ask to their self; “if I school here or there, can I be the really smart student with good morality?” they never ask this.

There’s a big wrong of our education system. They can make the frame work with good talent, capability and be competent in every side. But in morality side “nothing”.
Maybe all of you think I’m very over about it, but actually I just want to talk the true. In fact, so many educated people in Indonesia but they don’t have morality enough. The big problem in our country, the corruption case did by the educated people. They study until the overseas, in the best university, get the best value in every examination and be the best graduator. But in the application, they just competent in special aspect (side) without the religion inside of their self.
Of the statement above, we must know that the good education idealism is the education which not forget to the religion. We have to stick it in our mind and the heart that religion is very important for the future as the way of life. For everybody and also the future of the young generations.

We go to the last point.
3. The environment.
Everybody can’t life without the other because in reality, we are the socialist. Our environment give so many thing with our attitude. The environment which full by the good people will make us get the better life. We as if bounded by the tradition law in our environment. But the opposite, if our environment bad of course the society inside will be bad too. There’s no rules for them except the freedom.
It’s our big obligation to be careful when we choose the environment. We have to save our selves, the safety of our family and the bright future for our children later.

In conclusion, for the second time I say “don’t forget the religion”. Everything is important but when we have no religion as the way of life, everything just be bullshit.
Remember, when we can’t be the genius man. We have to be the good man. Life need the way and young generations need the way too. For everybody, religion is the best way. We can get the right way in the Holy Qur’an and Sunah. We can safe ourselves, the family and our future from the darkness and the hell.
